The Motivational Institute of Hypnotherapy offers certified training in hypnotherapy in San Diego, CA. Our certified hypnotherapy courses include Core Elements of Hypnotherapy-Ericksonian Hypnosis and Cognitive Behavioral Hypnosis, Energy Psychology, and Therapeutic Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Jessika Wilson, HHP, CCH
Assistant Director, Student Administrator (Texas Facility)

Jessika Wilson is a Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP), Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (CCH), Massage Technician, Aromatherapist, Nutritional Counselor, and Doula. She is originally from the east coast and completed her BFA in Creative Writing with a concentration in poetry at Emerson College in Boston. During her college years she also lived in The Netherlands and traveled throughout Europe studying liberal arts.

After college, she underwent intensive training in herbal medicine, the Wise Woman Tradition, and Green Witchcraft as a live-in apprentice of Herbalist Susun Weed. She spent the summer living simply off the land at The Wise Woman Center - tending goats and wildcrafting herbs in the forests of upstate New York while learning from a variety of noted teachers.

In 1998 she moved to San Diego. Her training continued as she studied herbs at The Self-Heal School and worked in a laboratory making natural aromatherapeutic and herbal products under the tutelage of Ruth Ritchart at Ritchart Soaps & Oils. Here she acquired the basic knowledge of therapeutic aromatherapy and soap-making.

After this, Jessika spent time on her own healing journey which included traveling to India and working with a small group of women to create a local non-profit organization. She spent several years working with clients, primarily young women dealing with addiction and abuse issues, while completing her HHP and CCH at The School of Healing Arts. She also became trained in Pranic Healing, Thought Field Therapy (TFT), and Seemorg Matrix. In addition to individual sessions, she also facilitated specialized group therapies, such as a group for women focused on body image issues. She spent two years working as a Live-in Staff person in a recovery home dealing with clients in early recovery. She volunteered time as well working as a mentor, teaching classes, and leading ritual circles.

During her work with women, Jessika became inspired to become a Certified Doula and assisted at approximately 25 births. She combined her hypnotherapy skills with her love of labor coaching and attended additional training in the specialized area of Hypno-Birthing. Currently, at the Motivational Institute of Hypnotherapy, Jessika teaches classes and supervises the Clinical Internship.

Jessika’s other interests include yoga, astrology, music, nature, and the arts. She has studied and trained in the practice of Tarot reading since the age of 14 and has taught many private and group classes on this subject. She is endlessly fascinated by the power of the mind to create our reality and brings this excitement to her work at the Motivational Institute of Hypnotherapy.
